Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction and Scope :

These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) form the contractual basis between the operator of the website https://abibooks.africanbib.com/ (hereinafter referred to as "website") and individuals (hereinafter referred to as "you"). The applicable version of the T&Cs at the date of concluding the agreement shall be pertinent. Your contractual provisions shall not be a component of the contract unless we provide express agreement.

  1. How Contracts are Made :

The offers on the website are not binding and are valid "while stocks last" unless noted otherwise in the product information. You can select goods via the shopping cart and send your order via the "order" button. After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order. This does not mean your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy one or several items. The contract between you and us will only be concluded when you pay the price in advance. If you do not pay in advance within one week after submitting the order on the website, the order will be canceled.

  1. Ownership Rights

All goods remain our property until paid for in full.

  1. Pricing, Shipping, and Payment Methods

All prices are in Euros and include German Value-Added Tax (if applicable). Unless otherwise agreed, we will bear the shipping costs. Payment is made using the options of payment indicated on the website.

  1. Warranty and Guarantee

The statutory right to defects applies. There is only a guarantee (within the meaning of § 443 German Civil Code) for the goods delivered by us if this was expressly given in the order confirmation for the respective article.

  1. Legal Liability

The statutory liability law applies.

  1. Data Protection

We process your personal data for a particular purpose and in accordance with the statutory regulations of the GDPR and BDSG. The personal data provided for the purpose of using the platform (such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, and payment details) is used by us to fulfill and execute the agreement. Such data is treated confidentially and not passed on to third parties who are not involved in the order, delivery, or payment processes. For more information, please refer to the privacy policy: https://abibooks.africanbib.com/privacy-policy.

  1. Dispute Resolution

The EU commission provides a platform for out-of-court dispute resolution. This provides consumers with the opportunity to resolve any disputes connected to their online order out of court in the first instance. The dispute resolution platform can be found here: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer dispute resolution agency.

  1. Governing Law and Language

This contract is subject to the law of the German Federal Republic, excluding the UN CISG, insofar as no mandatory regulations conflict with this. The contractual language is English, insofar as no mandatory regulations conflict with this. You can view and print the current terms and conditions on the website. We do not save the text of the contract.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
